Film Director – Kristian Harding
I am a student filmmaker living in Brixham, Devon, UK and I’m currently doing a UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Film and Television Production at South Devon College. I have a keen interest in natural history filmmaking and stop motion animation which are included in a number of my projects. I like to explore a variety of themes and ideas such as fantasy, science, human nature and the natural world, presenting them in unique ways. I’m also interested in pursuing these ideas through both fictional and factual ways.
I’ve been making short films since I was little, mainly stop motion shorts but when I was thirteen I made a longer film called “The Battle of Gastropoda” which I submitted to the first Ray Harryhausen Awards and won the Best Children’s Film category. I’ve made a number of stop motion and live action films, one called “The Hunted” which I completed during A Level Film Studies and I have currently finished my Final Major Project which is a film called “Off Course Part 1”.
As of right now, myself and a number of my fellow students are helping create a local film festival and create a showcase for a selection of our work. My next projects I have in mind is a follow up to Off Course Part 1 and a palaeontology documentary.
